Description

Storemosse is Blekinge's largest bog area. Most of the bog is a nature reserve.

The reserve contains both wooded and open parts. The wetland includes a small bog lake, Mossegölen, and two water-filled old peat pits.

Red-listed and rare species

Hardwood and coniferous forests grow on solid ground in the reserve. The area contains a number of red-listed or otherwise rare species, mainly associated with old broadleaf forest and marshland. Storemosse also has a rich bird life.

Bathing area

At Vitasand on the eastern side of Lake Lister there is a bathing area that is of great value for outdoor life.
