ARK56 welcomes new members
ARK56 continues to grow and become even more vibrant. Through the network, Blekinge’s coast and archipelago are connected by hiking, cycling, and kayaking trails – and along the way, visitors meet local actors that make the experience even richer.
It is now time to highlight the latest members of the network. Here we present the new actors who have joined ARK56.

Ishuset Friends and Flavors
Ishuset in Väggahamnen is a meeting place where industrial charm meets modern design. The old icehouse has been renovated into a bright and inviting venue with high ceilings and large windows – a space where friends and families love to gather.
Friends and Flavors runs a relaxed restaurant here, focusing on high-quality street food and local ingredients. The menu features flavorful burgers, tacos, and cheese and charcuterie boards, always created in collaboration with carefully selected producers. Ordering is simple: scan a QR code, choose your meal, and get a text when it’s ready.
Outside, the cozy harbor setting frames the dining experience with boats, sea, and dockside life. Eating at Ishuset is as much about the place as it is about the food.

Anglerts Historieförmedling
Marit Anglert is an archaeologist and building conservator, educated at Lund University. Raised in Torhamn and a resident of the Eastern Archipelago for over 25 years, she has a deep connection to the area and a special interest in the people and stories that have shaped Blekinge’s landscape. She combines her archaeological work with lectures, articles, and guided tours.
On her tours, visitors are taken through time and place: from the history of the Eastern Archipelago to Blekinge’s cultural landscape. She brings to life the history of rural communities, where both preserved and lost churches – and their parishioners – take center stage.
Her storytelling is engaging and heartfelt, whether the focus is on the churches’ tales or the many historical layers of the archipelago.

Sturkö Camping
Sturkö is the largest island in the Karlskrona archipelago and a true summer favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. At Sturkö Camping, it’s easy to find that holiday feeling – where the calm of the sea blends with children’s laughter as they cycle between caravans and the smell of barbecues in the evening air.
The campsite has a shallow sandy beach, perfect for families with children, and large green areas for ball games, sunbathing, or relaxation. For those who want to be active, kayaks and SUP boards are available to rent – perfect for exploring nearby islands. On foot, visitors can discover scenic trails winding through the surrounding nature reserve.
A new mini golf course has quickly become a popular gathering spot, and Andréns Bakery – a classic stop for fresh bread and summer treats – is located on the island.
For those craving city life, daily boat trips go to Karlskrona, where culture, museums, and shopping await before returning to the peaceful island atmosphere.
Järnaviks Camping – Ronneby

Järnaviks Camping
Beautifully located where forest meets sea, Järnaviks Camping offers around 160 camping pitches and eleven cabins available for overnight or weekly stays. From simple tent camping to comfortable cabins, there’s something for everyone.
The swimming area has sand, grass, and cliffs, and nearby you’ll find Havskrogen, serving everything from hot meals to ice cream and coffee. There’s also a mini golf course and an accessible jetty that makes it possible for wheelchair users to reach the water.
Guests can rent bikes or boats for excursions, while children enjoy the playground. A service shop and Wi-Fi are also available on-site.
In summer, evenings often come alive with music and social gatherings. The dance floor by the beach hosts troubadour nights and dances, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both campers and visitors.
Pets are welcome, and the area is partially adapted for accessibility. Järnaviks Camping is simply a place to relax, socialize, and enjoy both nature and the sea.

Allans på Ytterön
Allans on Ytterön is where the Karlskrona archipelago meets gastronomy, culture, and relaxation. Just a 30-minute journey from the city, including a short cable ferry, visitors arrive at a secluded yet inviting environment. Here you’ll find a boutique hotel, bistro, garden café, and event spaces – all surrounded by sea views and lush apple orchards.
Accommodation suits both private stays and groups arranging meetings, workshops, family gatherings, or celebrations. Guests can book single rooms or entire houses, and for an extra treat, there’s a sauna boat and a wood-fired hot tub overlooking the archipelago – perfect all year round.
Food and drink take center stage at Allans. In the charming bistro, located in the former village shop, Swedish and French cuisine meet in a carefully crafted menu. For a lighter experience, the garden café offers simpler dishes, coffee, and drinks outdoors among apple trees and sea breezes.
Summer evenings bring live music and events in the safari tent, with panoramic windows facing the sunset – making every evening unforgettable, rain or shine.

SigNatur
Join SigNatur on guided walks where the archipelago’s nature is in focus. In small groups, visitors discover parts of the Blekinge Archipelago Biosphere Reserve together with family, friends, or fellow nature enthusiasts.
The biosphere reserve includes a rich variety of landscapes – from old oak and beech forests to open pastures stretching to the sea. The walks offer time to pause, notice the details along the paths, and take in the full experience with all senses.
Tours range from one to three hours and often take place in selected nature reserves or along ARK56 trails. In addition to nature walks, there are also garden tours and spring walks, with a pace adapted for everyone.
Each walk is unique – nature changes with seasons, weather, and location. The guiding strikes a balance between knowledge and experience, making room for both learning and reflection. SigNatur also offers customized tours for groups, such as teambuilding or tailored requests.
All tours are held in smoke-free environments, without dogs, and are available in both Swedish and German.
