Norgesporten bridge, Ørje

Norgesporten - a welcome to our country.

If you are driving from Sweden into Norway on the E18 in Ørje, you will pass under a bridge. This is Norgesporten bridge, which is planned as a welcome greeting to motorists driving the E18 from the border to Ørje.

This bridge has become a landmark with its architecture. Made of steel and opened in 2017. Norgesporten bridge is an 80-metre-long lighted architect-designed suspension bridge. It hangs in a 52 meter high bridge tower through the center of Ørje and is part of the new E18.

Next to the bridge you will find a pleasant rest area with a playground for the children, picnic benches and toilets.
