STF Årås Kvarn

Årås manor dates back to the 16th century and was at this time "the district's foremost estate and manor". Årås has been characterized by the presence of the nobility for many centuries, and was once owned by the family Gyllenstierna who was the national councilor of the Vasa kings.

Årås mill is located in the small village Kölingared, a beautiful oasis located by the river Tidan where it connects the lakes Jogen and Vållern. The village is rich in ancient monuments and church ruins and from here a wilderness trail stretches from open cultivation and cultural landscape to raised bogs and old-growth forests of a wilderness character.

At Årås kvarn you stay in picturesque and personally decorated rooms. In total there are 12 rooms and 36 beds as well as guest kitchens and social areas. There are also beautiful rooms for rent for weddings, baptisms or memorial services, but also for conferences and camps.
