Västerås — Rönnby mountain biking trail (MTB Blue)

The 0.5 km Rönnby mountain biking trail (MTB Blue) in Västerås.

Here, the Västerås Cykelklubb (Västerås Cycling Club) has created a new, shorter mountain biking trail of MTB Blue difficulty level for younger and beginner riders. It’s just right for those who are not ready to take on the MTB Red trails yet.

Otherwise, you could call the Rönnby trail Rocklunda's messy little brother in terms of technical difficulty. There aren't as many challenging rocks and drops as the Rocklunda trails, but there are definitely plenty of roots and even quite a few sections that can get a bit hair-raising when the weather is wet. The trails in Rönnby are actively maintained by Västerås Cycling Club so don't be surprised if any of the messy mud sections disappear overnight.

Right next door is the Rocklunda sports complex, which buzzes with activity due to its numerous indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The first stage of the [Bruksleden hiking trail] (http://bruksleden.se/) also starts here. So you get to experience the landscape transition from city to countryside and then the forest.
