Finnforsleden

Finnfors Hiking & History follows the old routes used when walking and horse transport were the only means of transport. Along the trails you pass old dwellings signposted with Gårdens Historia.

On the website ramsele.com you will find our folder with a map. You can choose between four car routes into the area or two hiking routes.

The shortest distance to walk is 350 meters, from the car park to the shelter at the Branders residence.

The circular trail up Finnforsbergen is 3.6 km.

There is also the possibility of a detour past another dwelling, a pasture wall and a floating hut at Lake Storbodvattnet. This detour is 5.6 km round trip.

Everything is well-signposted and well-marked.

Starts from Ramselevallen, more specifically Grännagården. Along the trail are old house foundations and other historical sites that have been picked out, shelters have been built and more are underway. The trail is just over four kilometers long, but there are both shorter and longer distances as alternatives.
