Kungsleden (Kings Trail) passes the cabin and onwards over the archipelago into the southern part Lake Tärna, over five suspension bridges and two beam bridges. Only a few kilometres from the cabin, this lake archipelago is a wonderful outing destination.
Also, take advantage and discover Syterskalet, a u-shaped valley with extremely steep mountain sides and a verdant valley floor where Syter Stream finds its way.
This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after youself.

Directions
STF Syter is a cabin on the Ammarnäs – Hemavan section of the Kungsleden trail, located around 23 km northeast of Hemavan. The shortest way here is via the trail that starts in Solberg, about 10 km northeast of Tärnaby. The distance from Solberg to Syterstugan is around 18 km. To get to Solberg you need to take your own vehicle or a taxi. You can also reach Syterstugan from nearby cabins on Kungsleden, from STF Viterskalet to the west or STF Tärnasjö to the north.
