Spanarstugan Bjuröklubb

The cottage is intended for temporary accommodation (1-2 nights). Please show kindness to temporary day visitors who want to have shelter for a while or just come in and look at the cabin.

Spanarstugan is beautifully located at the Bjuröklubb lighthouse site. It is the first house on the left as you approach the lighthouse keeper's house in the northern part of the reserve. Parking is available down by the public road, the last bit up to the lighthouse site you take on foot.

Practical information

In each room there is a bunk bed where the lower bunk is 120 cm wide and the upper bunk 90 cm.

There are also 2 extra mattresses. The cottage can accommodate 8 people.

Overnight stay in the cottage costs SEK 200 per person per night. Children 0-15 years stay for free. The fee is used for the maintenance of the cottage, equipment and firewood. Payment information is available in the cottage.

The cottage has a simple electric stove, refrigerator, kitchen equipment, mattresses, pillows and wool blankets. Bring sheets or a sleeping bag. You as a visitor clean up after yourself and carry in firewood from the firewood box outside the cottage, or from the firewood store at the sauna in the guest harbor.

Dogs are allowed in the cabin, but they must not lie on mattresses or blankets. Also, do not use kitchen equipment as a food bowl.

Tips for excursions

Bjuröklubb by the sea is well visited all seasons. Around the lighthouse site there is a café, guest harbor with sauna, views and an exciting lighthouse history to take part in. Along the coastal strip there are unusually large shingle fields and fine upland forests all the way down to Grundskatan.

History

The cabin has an exciting history, the Lottarörelsen used it for reconnaissance during World War II.
