Description
In Södra Gardfjället Nature Reserve, you don't have to go far to be greeted by magnificent mountain views. The reserve is well worth a visit all year round.
There are many interesting places to visit in the reserve. The beautiful U-valley Grantonsskalet can be reached after a short hike from Grönfjäll. At Bullerfallet, south of Kanan, the kilometer-long rapids fall into a large giant pot.
The area has a long Sami tradition. At Silisen's and Klitvallen's Sami settlements there are a couple of huts and sheds that are nice places to visit.
Reindeer herding is actively practiced throughout the reserve. It is important that visitors do not disturb or frighten the reindeer.

Directions
The main entrance to the reserve is in Kittelfjäll. There are also parking lots at Fättjaur, Henriksfjäll and Grönfjäll. The northern part of the reserve is most easily reached from the parking lots at Kanan, in Matsdal and southern Matsdal.
