Description

The landscape in Bumyrhobben is slightly hilly and exciting. Many of our predators that have been tracked here from time to time seem to think the same.

The trees and grey stumps in the area also bears traces of fires that have raged here over the centuries. Many of the trees seen here now sprouted after the most recent fire, which occurred around 150 years ago.

The bedrock is rich in calcium, and springwater wells up out of the ground in the south-west. Orchids such as the lady’s-slipper orchid thrive here, and with a little luck you may even find the calypso orchid. Another common plant here is the poisonous February daphne, which blooms with pink flowers on bare branches in the spring. For those with an interest in botany, there is a great deal to discover here.
