Description
Börtingberget is a pleasant excursion destination with old-growth and primeval forest. A hike up to the top of the mountain is particularly recommended.
From Börtingbergstjärnen there is a path up to the top of Börtingberget where there is a barbecue hut. In winter there is a snowmobile trail to the top. From the top you have a nice day with miles of views of the forest landscape below.
The path and the hut are managed by Sandsjö/Lillögda byaförening.

Directions
From Lycksele and Åsele: follow road 365 to Lillögda. At Lillögda, turn northwest towards Sandsjö. After 5 km turn right onto a forest road. It branches off into three roads that all lead to different parts of the reserve. The best is the middle one that leads to Börtingbergstjärnen.
