Bjuröklubb tomtning - Sevärt

This is what remains of the simple seasonal dwellings of trappers, used mainly for seal hunting and fishing. Judging by their location and height above sea level, they may be Viking Age at this site, i.e. around 1000 years old. The now partially collapsed, sides or walls were significantly higher. In use, the stone walls were probably supplemented with a light roof construction. Traces of hearths are usually found inside the plots. There are about ten plots and a small number of cairns in the surrounding area.
