Ransäter church

The original church from 1672 burned down in 1983 and was rebuilt in 1986. The grave of former Swedish Prime Minister, Tage Erlander, is in the churchyard.

The new church was built in 1986 and is a replica (external facade) of the old one. In the church you can find an icon altarpiece by Sven-Bertil Svensson and a light bearer by Nils Forslund. The grave of Tage Erlander, Swedish Prime Minister between 1946-1969, is in the churchyard.
