Ransäters hembygdsgård - cottage village & campsite

The cottage village & campsite at Ransäters hembygdsgård has a perfect location next to river Klarälven and close to activities, attractions and the car-free cycle track Klarälvsbanan.

Ransäters stugby & camping has capacity for up to 1150 caravans and 22 cottages with 2-8 beds. Located directly next to the beautiful homestead museum, 10 kilometers south of Munkfors and 50 kilometers north of Karlstad. As a camping guest you have access to the service building. No access to electricity. Some activities available nearby are hiking, cycling, fishing and canoeing.

The cottage village, which is beautifully situated with a view over river Klarälven, has 22 log cabins with 2-8 beds and self-catering. There are several picnic tables here where you can sit down to eat your breakfast or dinner.

Shower and toilet are available in all cabins except the 2-bed cottages, where there is a shower in the adjacent building. In the larger cottages there are two bathrooms.

All cottages have a kitchen or kitchenette with fridge, coffee maker, microwave. Stove with oven is available in all cottages except the 2-bed cottages.Two of the 6-bed cottages are accessible.

In the cottage village there is also a wedding cottage with access to a sauna.Dogs are allowed in all cabins.

Note!Stugbyn is subscribed in connection with the following events at the homestead: Ransätersstämman, Midsummer celebration and Värmlänningar, Bälgspel vid landsvägskanten, Dog show.

There is capacity for up to 1150 caravans. As a camping guest, you have access to the service building. There is a service building with toilets, shower, latrine emptying and access to fresh water.There are two newly renovated accessible toilets.Please note that there is no access to electricity.

Note!If you are going to attend Ransätersstämman or Bälgspel vid landsvägskanten (accordion festival), you must book camping with the respective organizer.
