The journey to Lurö goes through a dense archipelago. Vänern spreads out, you can see the profile of Djurö National Park, further on Aspholmen and Gunnarsholmen lighthouses are passed, then you are halfway to Lurö. The boat to Lurö departs from Ekenäs, Värmlandsnäs at 10 am, travel time to Lurö is about 1 hour. The boat returns from Lurö at 3 pm. From Säffle city it is about 50 minutes drive to Ekenäs.
