Högbergsfältet is located in Filipstad municipality, about 6 kilometers northeast of Filipstad. The easiest way to get here is by car. Take highway 63 from Filipstad towards Ludvika. After Persberg there is a sign pointing to the reserve. You can also reach the reserve via a road through the village of Persberg, but this road is not signposted.

**Högbergsfältets nature reserve is subject to special regulations and restrictions in the right of public access.

In the reserve it is forbidden to:

bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet,
make a fire other than in a designated and specially prepared place,
park other than in designated places,
set up a caravan other than for a temporary day visit in a designated place,
camping for more than one day at a time
damage or remove dead wood such as lying or standing dry trees or dry branches
picking or digging up flowers, mosses, lichens or tree fungi
remove large stones or boulders from warp piles and the like,
without the permission of the county administrative board, make organized use of the area for commercial purposes, and for schools and institutions to regularly use the area to carry out scientific or other studies.
