Description
The Palladium is a bio-palace in elegant 1920s classicism. The plastered facade in red ochre is beautifully composed with the high arched windows and the large copper letters that proudly display PALLADIUM just below the tin roof. The architect behind it was Wilhelm Eick, who also designed several fine 1920s villas in Arvika.
The master builder was Carl Isaksson, who at the same time as running the cinema with his family had a tinsmith's shop on the site. A combination of culture, craftsmanship and fearless antics that can be said to be typical of Arvika. The cinema was inaugurated in 1925, making it one of Sweden's oldest cinemas still in operation. Take the opportunity to see a movie!
