You’re welcome to join the Nya
Forest Group out to Nåsten. Since we have such a fantastic forest so close to the city,
we want as many people as possible to take the opportunity to discover the forest’s natural values. We’ll
hike into Nåsten to visit several different forest types, including calcareous coniferous forest
and rocky
pine forest. We hope that violet coral fungi and finger fungi, as well as copper, yellow, and
orange hedgehog mushrooms, have been coaxed out of the mycelium; otherwise, there are plenty of
conservation-priority species among the wood-decay fungi. Perhaps we’ll have time to stop by the old oak tree with
lung lichen.
You don’t need any prior knowledge to
join us—curiosity and interest are all that’s needed. We’ll explore the forest
together and learn from one another.
We’ll be out for about 3 hours. There will be
a lunch/snack break at a nice spot in the forest, so bring something to eat.
Registration: No
Organizer: Nya skogsgruppen, a working group under
the Uppsala Nature Conservation Association
