Description

Spend a few relaxing days in the archipelago! The beautiful and idyllic island of Rävsten offers both forest, cliffs and open fields with grazing animals. Visit the island for the day, or rent a cottage and stay a little longer. The cabins are simple and cozy with water pump and dry toilet outside. To get to Rävsten, you book the pass boat that leaves from Äspskär's jetty. Information on how to book can be found here.

**Hiking

Around the eastern half of the island is the Fox Trail, a nature trail where you can read about the island's birds, flowers and cultural history. The trail is 2.4 km long. At "Stallet" in the cottage village there is an information sign with a map of the Fox Trail. The trail passes the cliffs north of Stångören and Brahamsberget on the eastern side of the island. From here you have a fantastic view of the Åland Sea, which is open as far as the eye can see. If you want to bring something to grill, there are four fireplaces on the island.

**Paddling

Rent a kayak and paddle in the beautiful archipelago around Gräsö. There are both sheltered waters, with lots of islands, and open sea. Rent for a few hours or load the kayak with food, water and a tent for a longer excursion. Both one- and two-man kayaks are available. Paddle, life jacket, canopy and map of the area around Rävsten are included. Keep in mind that there are many bird protection areas.

**Fishing

In the sea you can fish freely with a rod and reel, but there are rules on how big fish you can catch:

Pike - you can only catch fish between 40-75 cm. Take a maximum of 2 fish per person per day.

Perch - catch a maximum of 10 fish per person per day.

Sea trout - release fish under 50 cm. Catch a maximum of 2 fish per person per day. Salmon - release fish under 60 cm.

Pike perch - release fish under 40 cm.

Nature trail, cabins for rent, tent meadow, kiosk during May-October, dry toilet, fireplaces, sauna and hot tub for rent.

På Rävsten kan alla njuta av skärgårdsluften! Här är allt från båttransporten, till boende i stuga och en brygga för fiske eller kajakpaddling tillgänglighetsanpassat. Underlaget är bitvis lite knöligt, men Testpatrullen tycker det är väl värt det lilla besväret att åka ti

Båttransport till Rävsten

Till Rävsten går det en båttransport från Äspskärs brygga. Turen tar 10 minuter och du kan beställa transport med en båt med ramp som gör det lätt att ta sig i/ ur båten. Säg till om det när du bokar transporten, så kommer rätt båt och möter er!

På Rävsten
Från bryggan är det ungefär 200 meter till Rävstens stugby. Stigen har blandat underlag med grus, klippor och gräs. Det är bitvis ojämnt och lutar svagt uppför till stugorna.

Bo i stuga
Här finns två stugor som är tillgänglighetsanpassade. I den ena, "Palms hus", går det att övernatt. Den andra anpassade stugan fungerar som samlingslokal för grupper. I anslutning till dessa stugor finns en tillgäng torrtoalett och dusch.

Det finns en tillgänglig torrtoalett.

Fiska och paddla

I hamnen finns det en brygga med ramp. Från den kan man fiska, paddla kajak, eller bara njuta av att vara vid vattnet. Det går lätt att ta sig i kajaken med hjälp av en båge som man kan hålla i sig i. I viken är det lugnt vatten att paddla på.

Om du får napp på fisket finns ett rensbänk där man kan rensa fisken.

You can take the bus to the Äspskärs brygga stop at the bottom of Gräsö. Bus timetables can be found at www.ul.se.

Rävsten is located in the northern Uppland archipelago, just east of the southern tip of Gräsö. To get here, you take a pass boat from Äspskär's jetty. By car: From Öregrund, take the ferry over to Gräsö. When you get off the ferry, turn right towards Äspskär, and continue for about 10 km.
