Description

Hostel and cottages on a farm that was once owned by Gustav Vasa, king of Sweden. The farm is part of a nature reserve that covers more than 310 hectares of the southern parts of Gräsö.

At Gräsö Gårds vandrarhem you can enjoy a relaxing time by the sea in the fabulous nature of Roslagen. There are six rooms in the main building, 1 in an annexe and there are also 2 charmingly located cottages. This is self-catering accommodation and you bring your own bed linen and towels. There is both a restaurant and a grocery shop on the island within walking or biking distance from the hostel. The ferry pier is a five minutes’ walk away, located by the road ferry to Öregrund. There are bikes for rent at the farm.

Bed linen can be provided for a cost and breakfast can be order from the reception one day in advance. Gräsö Gård is owned by Östhammar municipality since 1965 and the nature reserve is managed by Upplandsstiftelsen. Many of the rare plant and animal species in the pastures are dependent on grazing livestock.
