Båtforstorpet, Båtfors

Båtfors nature reserve is home to Båtforstorpet, which once provided accommodation for local forestry workers. Nowadays you can spend the night here in the wilderness next to the rocky banks of the Dalälven. Båtfors nature reserve is one of the county's most species-rich but quite inaccessible. The cottage is a good starting point for the area, although there are no marked trails. To get around, we recommend a map and some experience of walking in rough terrain.

The house is rented per day and has six beds. It is simple standard without electricity but with solar-powered refrigerator. The house is heated by wood stove and stoves. For cooking there is a gas kitchen and by the beach there is a barbecue area. There is a dry toilet in an outbuilding near the cottage.

NOTE! The road down to the house is blocked at Hyttön about 4 km from Båtforstorpet. It is not possible to park at the boom but the boom key is included in the rent.
