Description
The inscription dates from the 11th century. The runestone is made of reddish granite. It is 1.3 meters high, 0.9 meters wide and 0.22 meters thick. The stone originally stood at Igelsta mill, in Östertälje, from where it was moved to Södertälje at an unknown time. There it stood at Mälaregatan, before it was transferred to its current location in 1932.
On the lost upper part, in the outer loop, except for the name starting with ku-, there has been room for at least one more name. The stone is thus the remains of three (or more) sons of their father Torsten. The name Ulvheden is not definitely documented in any other Swedish runic inscription; it possibly appears on a runic gravestone carved in Uppland.
