Description
The Fylleån river flows through the reserve surrounded by open pastures. The sides of the river are overgrown with deciduous forest and the surrounding land consists of open pastures. In the spring, wood anemones cover the ground and in the summer the aurora butterfly flies over the open meadows. There is also a rich bird life in Brogård.
The reserve is located in the Fylleån valley, which was formed by a huge glacial river during the melting of the last ice sheet. The river is surrounded by flat riverside terraces. The terraces show where the river's water level used to be; since the ice sheet began to melt, there has been a gradual change in level.
