Description
The forest consists of grand-dominated mixed forest that almost completely lacks traces of modern forestry. The mountain slopes are often steep and there are many large aspens growing here. In Bispgården, at Fors church, you drive over the Indalsälven river and then through the villages Österåsen and Västeråsen. Pass the turnoff towards Reva and after another 600 meters turn right along a forest road. Via this forest road you reach the two nearby nature reserves Ygeltjärn and Märatjärnberget.
Regulations
Within the reserve, it is prohibited to:
- capture, disturb or injure mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles, as well as damage their nests and breeding sites or collect eggs
- picking and collecting any species except berries and edible mushrooms
- climbing nest trees or deliberately staying closer than 100 meters to a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow
- damaging the ground, boulders, vegetation, dry trees or other dead wood
- make a fire, other than with firewood
- drive a motorized vehicle off-road.
