Hovslagaregatan street and the Vågen quarter

Hovslagaregatan is a beautiful street lined with old wooden houses. It runs alongside the Vågen Quarter, one of the oldest parts of Kristinehamn.

Today the area is full of small shops and businesses. As you walk along the street, you will passRetrovågen, an old-fashioned general store. In the courtyard you can visit theKristinehamn Historical Museum.

On the other side of the block you will findMastmagasinet Restaurant,Galleri Vågen, and two second-hand shops:Vågens ÅterbrukandDjurskyddet Kristinehamn.

Further along Hovslagaregatan, beside the Varnan River, you will see the old Customs House and theVålömagasinet Storehouse, now home to the interior design shopLev Vackert.
