Description
In the fall of 2019, Tranås Energi built a fishway at the Visskvarn hydropower station to enable fish to pass the dam at the intake. Now, migrating fish can make their way from Lake Sommen up into the Bulsjöån water system and on to the Lägern lakes. The passage has been closed to fish for over 100 years, so the measure is a boost to biodiversity on both sides of the barrier.
