Location: Järntorget west part (Hyttgatan 30).

In and around Järntorget at Hyttgatan, we can discover three separate objects that are simultaneously linked. A few meters from the square there is a rounded stylized shape. The object is not completely spherical but more reminiscent of an acorn, or an egg. On top of the "egg" is another very simplified shape that could be compared to some kind of bird perhaps.

In one corner of the square rises a six-meter-high concrete pillar that narrows the more the eye wanders upwards. On the pillar we find the various parish coats of arms of the historic parishes that together make up today's Sandviken engraved. The pillar is crowned by a globe or sphere. The sphere is not completely compact but consists of stylized patterns that are almost mathematical but at the same time organically undulating.

On a wall facing Hyttgatan, a decorative copper beam with rounded ends and an abstract pattern or figures adorning the sides can also be seen.

The sculpture group was commissioned by the municipality in 1972 in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Ironworks and to give the square a monumental eye-catcher. The carvings on the pillar refer to the merger of municipalities that took place in 1971.

Local artist Carl-Emil Berglin is behind the work. Berglin often worked with stylized forms in his many public art works.
