Around Hensjön

Road description
You can take this tour either from/to Tingsryd (20 km), from/to Konga (17 km) or from Tingsryd to Konga or the other way round (17 km).

From Konga
Preferably start by Konga Allhuset. Konga is a factory town, the Örmo bruk was established in 1742. The cottage Dalgångsstugan from 1859 is located behind the industrial area and was used as a home until the year 1930. A maximum of 8 people lived in the 20m² sized living room. The cottage was extended by a kitchen, which was used as a woodshed and henhouse. Go to Ronnebyvägen in the middle of the village. Enter the bicycle path towards lake Hensjön and the bathing place Blötans badplats. Here you can take a bath in the lake or take a walk in the beautiful beech forest in the nature reserve Hensjönäset. Continue your way around the lake via Grönvik up to Hensmåla. Follow the bicycle path back to Konga.

From Tingsryd
Start at the bicycle path facing the bus station in Tingsryd. Follow the bicycle path towards lake Hensjön. Turn right in Hensmåla. Cross the road and continue on the road next to the lake. Follow the road via Grönvik up to the bathing place Blötans badplats. Here you can take a bath in the lake or take a walk in the nature reserve Hensjönäset. Turn left in Ekelund and follow the bicycle path back to Hensmåla. After having crossed the road and passed by the waterworks continue your way back to Tingsryd on the old railway embankment.

The tour is mainly on car-free bicycle paths as well as smaller asphalt roads. Short parts on gravel road. The route is marked.
