Description
Långbro nature reserve is located in a hilly area, where you can see the highest coastline in several places in the form of bare, partially wooded rocks and shingle beach embankments. The area is located 1 mile southwest of Enånger and covers 154 hectares. On the outcrops and in the higher terrain, pine dominates and there are a few really old trees with an age of about 200 years.
The short-shafted spike is a lichen that specializes in living on lying trees and thrives in the area. Around the rocky areas there is an approximately 90-year-old mixed deciduous forest with a lot of aspen. The large aspen stands are accompanied by a myriad of life and there are several lichen and moss species that can only be found on aspen, some of which are very rare, such as the grainy aspen jelly lichen.
