Tjärnabergets leder

Around Tjärnaberget there is a network of paths and trails that take you past old mountain farms and nature reserves. The trails stretch from Paradisbacken and west towards Pransbodarna. In total, there are about 50 km of trails through a varied terrain of forests, marshes and old pastoral environments. The trails are marked with signposts and orange color marking on the trees. There are several rest areas and rest huts along the trails. A good starting point for the trails is Paradisbacken, where there are several barbecue areas and parking facilities. There is also parking directly adjacent to the trails at Hyttbro.

Bjusanstugan is an open resting hut where it is possible to rest indoors, and also stay overnight.

At Ollesbodarna there is a rest area with a shelter and barbecue. There is also a rest area at Halla fäbod, but it has not yet been renovated, hence its poorer condition.

Pransbodarna and Snickarbodarna are managed by Friluftsfrämjandet Borlänge. The cabins are normally locked and used by the association's members. There are fireplaces and simple seating areas on each hut wall that can be used by all visitors.

In recent years, the trails have been upgraded with signage, paths and maps. Not all rest areas have been upgraded yet and some information signs are still missing, but work is ongoing.
