Description

The name Roparudden comes from the fact that it was here where people would stand and call out or signal across to Stora Eken to summon the ferryman when they wanted to cross the strait. Roparudden is the outermost tip facing Stora Eken, which was inhabited from the 1500s until the 1960s and primarily engaged in forestry.

The start of the hiking trail is at the parking lot at Läckö Castle. The trail then goes through hilly rocky terrain, and along the trail, there are barbecue spots and several benches. Free firewood is available at the barbecue spot from May 1 to September 30. There are also opportunities for swimming and a wind shelter where you can spend the night. Half of the route is close to the lake with views towards Läckö castle and Stor-Eken, while the rest follows a normal forest road.

Public Transport: During the summer season, Västtrafik bus 132 runs a few times a day between Lidköping and Spiken, with some departures continuing all the way to Läckö. Normally, the closest stop is in Spiken, from where there is a walking trail of just over 2 km to Läckö.

By Car/Bike: Approx. 25 km from Lidköping. Drive towards Läckö.

Stigen utmed vattnet väldig vacker. Inte lättgången men väl värd den extra ansträngningen. Lång sträcka på grus som inte var så rolig, men landskapet runtomkring fint i alla fall.

Tack för att du delar med dig! Stigen bjuder verkligen på fantastiska vyer längs vattnet, och ibland är det just de lite mer utmanande partierna som leder fram till de finaste upplevelserna. 🌿
