Description
The Ryfjället nature reserve is a very large area between the Umeälven valley and Boksjödalen.
Old spruce forests grow in the reserve and here you can walk for several days through real old-growth forest. It is a varied landscape where several forest mountains and their slopes dominate the terrain. In the northwest you can visit the large Järvsjön.
Just west of the reserve, Ryfjället rises with mountain birch forests and bare mountains, which also invite to outdoor activities.

Naturreservatet ligger cirka 70 kilometer nordväst om Storuman. Reservatet ligger nära väg E12 och kan nås direkt därifrån eller från vägen upp till Järvsjön. Observera att vägen under delar av året kan vara svårframkomlig och/eller bommad.
