Led till Fjällfinakåtan och Kobåset

Fjällfinakåtan is an excursion destination for those hiking with children. Start at Naturum Vindelfjällen Hemavan and follow the blue-marked path straight up from the Mountain Botanical Garden, or follow the King's Trail up to the top of the Centrumliften. Turn off the King's Trail at the sign for Kobåset and follow the blue-marked trail in a northeasterly direction past the windbreak at Holmlund's memory.

Use the bridge to cross the stream, and then continue on the blue-marked path up to the hut.

The hut is open and there is a small stove that can be used, as well as a fireplace outside. If you are a larger group, or if you want to stay overnight in the hut, contact Hemavan Mountain Station to book.

Those who wish can then continue the trail past the hut, over Kåtahobben and further into Kobåset. Along Kobåsbäcken there is much to discover for young and old and often there are snow fields left long into the summer. Perfect for snowball fights!

The trip to Fjällfinakåtan takes about 2 hours round trip. If you continue to Kobåset, the trip takes about 3-4 hours round trip.
