Description

Difficult to access reserve with deciduous forest on damp ground.
The Gillbergaskogen nature reserve was established to preserve a moist deciduous forest with old rough-barked trees, dying and dead trees and dead wood. The reserve is also intended to protect the demanding insects and birds found in the area.

The Gillbergaskogen nature reserve is located in one of Värmland's former major areas for the white-backed woodpecker.
