It’s also a great starting point for excursions to Helagsfjället, where the first mountain cabin is preserved as a museum at the foot of the mountain.
There are shops, restaurants and services in Ljungdalen, while the hostel offers wonderful accommodation with well-maintained ski trails just around the corner. Skis, canoes and mountain bikes can all be hired, depending on the weather and the season. Fishing is also popular in Ljungdalen during summer and winter. The Sölvbacka streams, Storsjön and other mountain lakes attract many avid anglers throughout the year.
There are also guided fishing tours for those with less fishing experience.

100m to bus stop at ICA. Bus 613 from Åsarna and Östersund. Bus 620 from Funäsdalen. https://ltr.se/ or telephone +46771100110. Taxi Ljungdalen +4668720302.
If you come from Flatruet, turn right at the first exit into a gravel road after the bridge that takes you over Ljungan. After 100m, turn right and you are there.
If you come from Åsarna, turn left onto the gravel road towards the hostel before the campsite. After the school, turn left and you're there. Both roads have signs to the hostel.
