Description

There are fantastic natural and cultural environments along the valley where Moraån meanders. The river roars in small waterfalls and rapids, but also flows calmly and quietly in some stretches. The Moraån valley has become deeper over the years. Dense hedgerows grow here and many fallen trees lie in the way. Beavers are frequent here.

The yellow marked "Åstigen" shows many parts of the river. The pasture path is marked in blue and leads you through grazed pastures and along the upper edge of the valley and past a large number of ancient remains. You can take a break at the fireplace.

Moraåns valley is located directly adjacent to the southern parts of Järna. You can reach the reserve by both public transport and car. The nearest commuter train station is called "Järna centrum". From there it takes about 10 minutes to walk. There are several bus stops nearby. Reserved parking is available along Floravägen. More parking facilities are available at Eneskolan.
