Old wooden "rolling bridge"

The trail here crosses the sunken land on a rolling bridge, i.e. round timber laid lengthwise and crosswise, probably also on a rice bed. The bridge was built in 1918-1919 for horse-drawn wagons that transported timber and pulpwood to Gamle saw at Krokfjorden and to Konga pulp factory, now closed. Today you don't see much of this heritage, but now you know how it is.
