Description
Taheiti, named after the world's most beautiful place Tahiti in the South Seas according to Professor Nils Johan Andersson who was there in 1850. After he came home, he called his summer home here on Lidingö's northwesternmost cape Taheiti. The headland has a walking trail, rocks and a small sandy beach, a signposted ancient grave and interesting grove vegetation with planted trees. From Taheiti you can study the bird life on Fogdholmen, a bird-protected island in Lilla Värtan.
