Fornslingan, Hagby-Mörtsjön

The Fornslingan trail starts from the Green Entrance at Hagby Farm, on the west side of Hagbyvägen.

In the area around Vallentunasjön there are an unusual number of rune stones from the end of the Viking Age. At Hagby farm and in the surrounding fields, you can feel the proximity to Jarlabanke, this Viking Age great man who is more talked about and written about than any other inhabitant of täby. If you follow the trail to the south, you soon come to two rune stones on a rocky outcrop and soon you can see the traces of an old hollow way.
