Nybergskällan

This source of health is reminiscent of a time when different values prevailed about what was healthy. A Professor Svenonius from Uppsala analyzed the water at the beginning of the century and found that it contained radium. Since the water was thus radioactive, it was considered beneficial to health. Just north of the spring, the trail passes Nybergsgruvan. This is one of the many small iron ore mines in Lekebergslagen where the ore deposit was not large enough for large-scale mining.
