Herrestadssjöns fvof

Herrestadssjön and Nästasjön, Värnamo Municipality are part of Lagan's water system, Storån catchment area. Nästsjön is located 1 km north of Kärda and Herrestadssjön is 2 km to the west. Nästsjön's area is 134 ha with greatest depth 11.6 m, average depth 4 m. Herrestadssjön's area is 370 ha, and greatest depth 4 m.

The lakes are surrounded by open farmland, but there are also patches of coniferous forest.

Your own boat can be moored in Nästsjön at the Nästbadet bathing area. Boats can also be rented from the fisheries management area, SEK 100 per day. There is one boat in Nästasjön and one in Herrestadssjön.

During the 1990s, pikeperch were planted in both Lake Nästasjön and Herrestadssjön. In Nästsjön, reproduction has been very successful and the lake has a good pikeperch population. The lakes offer exciting casting rod fishing for pike, zander and perch.
