By bus: From Brommaplan to the Karlskär stop - then about 2 km walk. Current bus routes and timetables can be found at SL: sl.se

By car: Brommaplan via Drottningholm towards Färingsö, Färentuna and Eldgarnsö. There is a parking lot on the right just after you pass the road bank into the reserve.

To protect Eldgarnsö Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to:

1. destroy or damage solid natural objects or surface formations
2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs, damage vegetation in general, for example by digging up rice, herbs, grasses, mosses or lichens
3. disturbing wildlife (e.g. by climbing trees, capturing or killing mammals, birds, frogs and reptiles)
4. camping or mooring a boat in the same place for more than two consecutive days
5. riding horses other than on roads
6. making fires other than in designated places
7. bring a dog or cat that is not on a leash
8. drive a motorized vehicle other than on designated roads
9. park other than in designated places
10. use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder, musical instrument or similar in a disruptive manner
11. catch or collect insects.
