Ubbysjön runt

Ubbysjön between Ormsta and Lindholmen is one of Vallentuna's very bird-rich lakes. It is a so-called overgrown lake with reeds, bushes and open water surfaces in a rich mosaic that favors bird life. Here you can see, among other things, cranes, ospreys, black-necked grebes or brown harriers.

To improve access to Lake Ubbysjön, a new hiking trail has been built called Ubbysjön Runt. The blue-marked trail is 2 kilometers long and goes around the lake as well as two bridge passages over the northern and southern parts of the lake. Adjacent to the lake there is a newly built parking lot at Lindholmsvägen with a connecting path down to the trail.

In the spring of 2019, the first stage of Ubbysjön Runt was inaugurated.

In 2021, windbreaks and barbecue areas were built in two places along the trail. In 2022, adaptations for visitors with disabilities and information boards about nature and bird life will also be completed.
