Järflotta nature reserve is located 5 kilometers south of Nynäshamn. Järflotta and Gunnarstenarna have no regular boat traffic and can only be reached by own boat or taxi boat

To protect the Järflotta nature reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to

• destroy or damage fixed natural objects or surface formations, such as drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, painting or carrying out other ground work
• introducing or releasing an animal species alien to the area
• implanting, sowing or planting a plant species alien to the area
• bring an unleashed dog or cat
• anchor a boat on the same beach for more than two consecutive days
• camping for more than two consecutive days in the same place
• water skiing or similar within 100 m of the island's shores and within the island's bays
• make open fires
• during the period 1/4-31/7, land on the Gunnar Islands and enter water areas closer than 100 m from these islands
• land on Kalkskär between 1/4-15/7 or stay permanently on the island in a way that disturbs bird life
• damage the former natural monuments; an oxel and two linden trees at Ekholmen and a moving block of rapakivi granite at Valsudden
• camping, mooring or anchoring a boat within the built-up area at Sandstugan and Lökviken, according to the map.
