To protect Södergarn Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to:

1. destroy or damage rock, soil or stone by drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, digging, painting or similar
2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or otherwise damage vegetation by digging up plants such as rice, herbs, mosses or lichens or removing woody fungi
3. deliberately disturb wildlife (e.g. by climbing nest trees, trapping or killing mammals, birds, reptiles or amphibians)
4. trap and collect invertebrates
5. bring an unleashed dog
6. make a fire other than in a designated place
7. put up a board, poster, poster, sign or make an inscription
8. drive a motorized vehicle
9. camp or stay more than two days in the same place
