Description
At the southern foot of Nackanäsbron, an inn has been operating since the 17th century, or even longer. Since the old shipping route from the archipelago to Stockholm's winter customs passed here, the location was excellent. In winter, the journey was on ice. It was also close to the mill area at Nacka ström, where some fifty people were already working at the end of the 16th century. It was probably the mill that started the inn.
The houses that stand here today are of a younger date. The main building, called Stora Nynäs, is probably from the 1860s. The elongated saloon next door is slightly older.
