Description

Less than two hours from central Stockholm, Sweden's first marine national park is located in the Baltic Sea. Here you will encounter an unexploited archipelago landscape, where conditions are dictated by weather and wind. The landscape is varied and the species richness great - both above and below the surface.

The national park, which encompasses both the central and outer archipelago, has 1 353 islands, islets and skerries. And a large marine area: 97% of the national park's surface is sea!

The main entrance to the national park is on Bullerö. Here you can get a taste of almost everything the area has to offer. Enjoy the wild nature and that which has been shaped by cultivation, haymaking and grazing through the ages.

Discover the landscape by hiking, in your own boat or why not peek under the surface with a cyclops? An exciting underwater world opens up!

In the hunting lodge on Bullerö there are exhibitions about nature in the national park and about Bruno Liljefors, one of the country's most famous artists, who spent a lot of time here.

During the high season, guided tours are offered to nature and culture in the national park. Current visitor information can be found at sverigesnationalparker.se/namdoskargarden

Bring your own food and drink - none is available for purchase in the national park.
