Lilla Sickla gård

The farm environment we can see today dates from the end of the 18th century, but the farm is older than that. As suitable land was scarce, there was never any extensive farming here - but the nearby stream could provide hydroelectric power. There was a mill here in the 16th century. In the 18th century, a cotton mill was built on the Stora Sickla farm, on the other side of the lake, while a smaller mill was built at the head of the Lilla Sickla stream.
