Description

There is a small visitor parking lot off of Klacknäsvägen road, located in the southern part of the reserve. The hiking trails into the reserve start here.Soon, you'll pass a storage for firewood. Pick up a few logs here, if you wish to make a fire at any of the areas designated fire pits.

By the parking lot, there is an informational sign about the nature reserve.

To protect Långviksträsk nature reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to

  1. dig, hack, blast or otherwise damage rock, soil or stone
  2. felling or damaging living or dead trees and bushes or removing dead wood
  3. dig up plants such as rice, herbs, grasses, mosses or lichens or remove woody fungi. Picking flowers, berries and edible mushrooms is allowed
  4. bring an unleashed dog
  5. make fires other than in the designated area
  6. camping for more than two consecutive days
  7. drive a motorized vehicle off road.

Directions

By public transit: Take a bus from the Slussen bus terminal. There are multiple bus stops around the nature reserve. The hiking trails are easiest to reach from the Vishamn and Fåruddsvägen bus stops. The bus stop Baldersnäs is on the western side of the reserve. For current information, see: SL.se

By car: Drive south along Ingarövägen road, continue onto Eknäsvägen road. Take the first exit in the roundabout towards Mörtviksvägen. Turn left at Klacknäsvägen road. After approximately 5.5 km, the reserve's small parking lot will be on the left (located in the southern part of the reserve).

Regulations

In order to protect the Långviksträsk nature reserve, please respect the following rules.

Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:

  1. dig, cut, blast, or in any other way damage rock, soil or stone,
  2. fell or damage living or dead trees or bushes or remove dead wood,
  3. dig up plants such as shrubs, herbs, grasses, mosses, or lichens or remove fungi growing on wood (it is permitted to pick flowers, berries and fungi),
  4. bring dogs that are not on a leash,
  5. make a fire outside of designated sites,
  6. camp for more than two consecutive nights,
  7. operate motorised vehicles off-road.
