Description

Hummelberget Nature Reserve encompasses a natural forest area between the lakes Alsnaren and Fyrsjön.

Stroll through the ancient and species-rich forest to reach the small and scenic woodland lake Fågelsjön. On top of the hill, are the remnants of a historic fort.

The reserve has no recreational facilities, apart from informational signs.

Directions

Västra Hållstavägen, which runs south of the nature reserve, is served by SL’s local on-demand transport. The trip must be booked in advance. Check your journey on SL – Greater Stockholm Local Traffic.

There is no designated parking next to the reserve.

Regulations

To protect the nature reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In Hummelberget Nature Reserve, it is prohibited to:

  • dig, chop, blast, paint, or in any way damage rock, soil, or stone
  • fell or damage living or dead trees and shrubs, or remove dead wood. dig up plants such as shrubs, herbs, mosses, or lichens, or remove wood-dwelling fungi.

Picking ground-dwelling mushrooms is allowed.
